Year one visited Whitburn Methodist Church this week to find out all about the special objects in a church. They enjoyed learning about the stained glass window and singing “The Whole World in his hands”. Special thanks to Reverend Jane for allowing us to visit.
Year Five travelled back to Anglo-Saxon times this week when they visited Jarrow Hall. We learned all about how the Anglo-Saxons used to live, tasted Anglo-Saxon biscuits, learned about crimes and punishments and the Anglo-Saxon feudal system.
Year 6 children have attended the South Tyneside RAP (reducing accidents at play) event today.
We learned how to keep ourselves safe in many different scenarios and what to do if something does go wrong. We heard from the Fire Service, the RNLI, Nexus, Road Safety Aware, the NHS and the Northern Power Grid.
Christmas Dates 2019
We had an amazing time at the dance festival. The children performed a drama based dance routine to a song from ‘Wicked’. They enjoyed watching all of the other children and we are very proud of their commitment and performance. A special thank you to Jayden from Wings Academy who helped choreograph the performance.
